A family-owned and operated business is a rarity these days. For three generations, the Richardson family has been building quality homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. It all started back in 1958 when Wayne Richardson left the flooring business to start building homes. Wayne made sure that his son, Richard, started learning the business at a young age, literally from the ground up. Richard spent summer vacations and weekends getting hands-on experience with all phases of the construction process from laying the foundation to the finishing touches. Wayne also instilled in Richard a tradition of pride in a job well-done and an appreciation for quality, both in materials and workmanship.
After Richard Richardson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973, he founded Richwood Homes where he carries on the family tradition of honesty and integrity. Richard continues to personally supervise the building of every Richwood home. His commitment to customer satisfaction is evident throughout the construction process and continues even after the sale.
The latest addition to the family business is Richard's son, Dustin. He joined Richwood Homes after graduating from Texas A & M University in 2001 and brings a fresh, young perspective to the home design process.
